Superintendent’s Middle School Student Advisory Board Meets

The Cherokee County School District’s inaugural Superintendent’s Middle School Student Advisory Board gathered today for its second meeting of the school year.  The board formed by Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis is made up of one student leader from each grade level – sixth, seventh and eighth -- from each of CCSD’s middle schools.  During today’s meeting, Superintendent Davis shared how their treasured input in the fall led to improvements in the district’s work in its mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia.  She then asked them for more feedback on specific school improvement issues.  A similar board of elementary school student leaders also was formed in the fall, and the two new boards complement the longtime Student Advisor and Student Delegates to the School Board program for high school senior student leaders.
